Your tips Stay at a centrally located boutique hotel. I used the Zara Boutique. Good food, small rooms, but fine for sleeping. Clean, fresh, young staff.
Budapest is a wonderful old city that suffered through a period of time after WWII but is now a lovely place to visit. The Danube River divides Buda from Pest. Together they are the city. I liked Buda, which is high on a mountain.
