I suoi consigli:Get a transport card as soon as possible to ease ones travel round the city. However I was warned about difficulty in purchasing tickets for the Trains.
Whilst the weather was cold and snowy during my visit, I found that the Public Transport system worked perfectly. With the Oyster type card the movement into and around the city of Amsterdam was relatively cheap and very easy to use. All transport during the day was frequent and on time. What was even more noticeable was the smooth state of the Dutch roads compared with the potholed roads of Scotland. However visitors to Amsterdam should check about access to certain Museums as some are closed due to renovation.
