LA is a great city to visit. It has beaches, shopping, nighlife, art and all the other known stuff. Rent a car drive down sunset straight to Malibu. Stop at Venice beach to see the roller skaters and muscle beach. Go shopping in Beverly Hills or take a day at Universal Studio's. But the best kept secret from LA is the Getty Museum. The art is ok but the building and location are absolutly stunning (no entrance fee but if parking lot is full you are not able to enter). If you have a little bit more time drive south on highway 1 towards San Diego!
